Question for the guys who went to the OBX this past year, did you go on Carova/Corolla beach where route 12 ends? If so, how flat/packed is the sand really there?

Yah, you just follow Route 12 on to the beach. The sand at the beach entrance usually isn't too bad. Stock trucks and SUVs drive through it all day long for the people renting houses on the beach. It's a huge vacation spot. You do see the occasional stuck SUV because they were driving in the soft sand near the dunes vs the hard pack sand near the water. Speed and momentum are your friends in the sand.

Ok cool thanks. Hopefully ill have the 4 wheel fixed by then, but thinking of doing an OBX vacation next spring with the gf.
