Ill throw this out there for anyone interested: In south connellsville theres an offroad trail called "Casparis road" and its a good trail.. The beginning has some rocks and it can be tricky on stock trucks. It goes in quite a ways AND IS COMPLETELY LEGAL TO DRIVE ON. Now heres the part thats illegal: Once you get so far into the trail, itll go up a big steep hill and open up to a plateau so to speak, turn around. Thats the end. if you go on any of the trails back there they have trail cams and will cite for trespassing (theres signs too).
But its a cool day trip to atleast see.

Hittindirt Is the "plateau" where it splits and you (used to anyway) can turn right down to where the "caves" are? Or is it farther down the road if you stay straight? It's been a while since I've been back in there. 2 years ago

Anyone know any off-roading trails in PA? 4wd trucks.

Joeybutt67 Search Google maps and do a little exploring. I have found some small overgrown trails near me. Been going there and clearing the the trail so I can go offroading. It took some time to find land to do this. Take your time and study the map. You'll find some trails near you. They may not be great but it's something. Better to go on a short trail then none. Some areas that may help you are areas that have the high power lines that go across the State. Sometimes they are not gated or chained off and are overgrown. Check it out to see if it's in an area that isn't used a lot a perhaps you can make it a new destination. It has worked for me. 5 years ago

Out in breeze wood, and while this trail isnt that difficult, its gorgeous. out in Breezewood PA, its called "Garlick road" and it goes up on top of the mountain and its 100% open to licensed vehicles. I didnt go very far into it, but it looked pretty cool.

Headed to butler this weekend. Any locals here that could point me to a couple decent trails?

Hello. I'm new to the site also fairly new to PA just wanted to see if there was any info on a good place to go offroad and see some good scenery. I have a 2003 Ford Excursion. I've traveled out of state a bit. Mostly down south but haven't been on any trails here in PA any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you and stay safe.
