Hey y’all I’m up in Manchester VT, and I accidentally took a wrong trail while overlanding on a class 4 road that starts at the end of Beartown Rd and my Chevy Colorado zr2 is now perched very precariously at 16 degree tilt on the side of the trail with a very steep drop off. I’m about 2 miles down the road and where it splits at sand gate and the trail to equinox overlook. Is anyone close by and willing to help out or give some friendly advice

asimmons297 I’m a little far from the 2nd place but they directed me to Benny’s towing and repair which is closer. Benny’s said they can get me out but it’ll be expensive. However they also gave me contact information for a guy in the area who goes wheeling a lot and has friends in the area. I left a message with the local guy and I’m just waiting to hear back. If I don’t hear back from him I will call Bennys back and go from there. 3 years ago

WJGrandCherokee Yeah I figured it would probably cost a couple hundred at least because of the location and time it will take. Hopefully you get help soon. 3 years ago

asimmons297 I heard back from one of the tow companies and he can not get his wrecker up the trail that I’m on because it’s technically a snowmobile trail where I turned off the main trail. He’s gonna reach out to some people who might have a Jeep or something equivalent but I haven’t found anyone who can really help. I’m heading back to South East Vermont in a friends car and I’m gonna keep looking for people with a capable vehicle. Things aren’t looking great but I’m trying to stay optimistic! 3 years ago

asimmons297 So I got some calls and a couple emails from some people and I ended up talking to one guy who has a 12,000lb winch he can put on his atv since his full size tow rigs won’t fit on the trail and we’re gonna head up there tomorrow afternoon and see what we can do. He sounds very knowledgeable in off-road recovery. If he and I aren’t able to get it done I have a friend driving up from Virginia with his Jeep which has a 12,000lb winch. I appreciate all of the help and advice I’ve been receiving! 3 years ago
