New to the area here, trying to find somewhere legal to off-road in the VB/Norfolk/Chesapeake area.

Legal wheeling is hard to come by in the 757. You've got Carova Beach a couple hours south in the OBX, but it's nothing challenging other than some deep water crossings. Keep an eye on Starr Motors facebook page. They are a Jeep dealership in Suffolk and they have a small but fun off-road course behind the dealership. It's where a lot of the local Jeep clubs hold off-road days. I usually post on here whenever I am headed out that way.

Most wheeling spots are at least a few hours away. Uwharrie, Shoe Creek, and Potts Mountain are the closest. Uwharrie and Potts are both about a 5 hour drive. I believe shoe creek is a little closer, but less challenging and is a fairly short trail.

Man, I’m originally from Michigan and most places are 1-3 hours tops if you want some quality off road time. I’m going to keep an eye out for stuff stuff around. Thanks for the insight, will probably end up going out to some of these areas hopefully soon.
