cerasi15 You can say that again! Yeah, considering a Rough Country leveling kit and Timbrens in the back (since its also my work truck). Once it needs tires ill go upsized. Resisting the urge to alter it until the bumper to bumper warranty expires. 9 years ago

Question for the guys who went to the OBX this past year, did you go on Carova/Corolla beach where route 12 ends? If so, how flat/packed is the sand really there?

Hopkins Yah, you just follow Route 12 on to the beach. The sand at the beach entrance usually isn't too bad. Stock trucks and SUVs drive through it all day long for the people renting houses on the beach. It's a huge vacation spot. You do see the occasional stuck SUV because they were driving in the soft sand near the dunes vs the hard pack sand near the water. Speed and momentum are your friends in the sand. 9 years ago

4wd wouldnt engage this morning when we hit the beach, had to get pulled off by someone with a Dodge. Still had fun on the beach in my girlfriends brothers YJ. Looks like im gonna have to stick to the Canal where I can stay in 2-wheel until I fix this problem.

Hopkins If the actuator is anything like a starter, then a solid wack with a hammer might cause it to engange. Haha never hurts to try 9 years ago

4.3LXJ There is a central axle disconnect on the front diff that commonly fails. Cherokees have them too. I just shimmed mine permanently over. On yours it is electrically operated and the coils fail easily for some reason. Easy fix 9 years ago
