Alright, we are talking about off road trails near Albany, NY.  Last warning, the off road trails mentioned are Jeep trails and 4×4 trails large/wide enough to fit a passenger vehicle – no ATVs or dirtbikes talked about here.  The first off road trail near Albany, New York is Schaeffer Rd located just 24 miles east of Albany.  Schaeffer Rd was added to the W2W map by a local wheeler in New York, but sadly that wheeler did not include a description, so until a friendly wheeler is willing to go visit this spot and give us some information, it will remain a mystery about what this trail has to offer.  You can see what other wheelers are saying about other trails in the Albany, NY area by visiting the Where2Wheel trails map here.

The next offroad trail near Albany, NY is Old Florida Road located 50 miles east of Albany for a drive time of an hour and fifteen minutes.  The wheeler that added Old Florida Road was kind enough to leave us a description stating that the trail is for serious rigs only and a minimum tire size of 35s is necessary.  Judging from the pictures of Old Florida Road, a snorkel wouldn’t be a bad idea either.  Reminder, you can browse the offroad trails map anytime for free on Where2Wheel.  There is a good chance that since writing this article that new off road trails near Albany, New York have been added, so click here to view the W2W map and check the area for yourself.

The last offroad trail near Albany, New York is New Lenox Rd located 50 miles southeast of Albany for a drive time right around one hour.  Again, we don’t have a ton of information to go on here, but it seems to be a system of old fire roads that crawl through the forest.  A Jeeper did leave a review saying that he wheels these roads almost every weekend, so there must be some fun to be had out at New Lenox Rd.  Don’t forget to visit the Where2Wheel off road trails map to see all the off road trails near Albany, New York.  We also have a great community of offroaders on W2W, so be sure to check out the news feed and groups sections of Where2Wheel as well.
