This trail is off Pearland Parkway and stone stable lane (at the end of stone stable is the trail head) and consists of some creek crossings, small hills, & is an easy trail to get your 4x4 nice and dirty.  You can see what other wheelers are saying about Mex Sea Co and other trails by visiting the Where2Wheel trails map here.

The last offroad trail near Houston, Texas is Old Highway 87 located 111 miles E of Houston. Highway 87 is 20 miles of eroded coastal highway that the state has allowed nature to reclaim. At low tide, there can be 40 feet of shell covered sandy beach in some places. At high tide, there might be less than a car width of tar-like asphalt clay between a 2 foot drop into the surf and a barbed wire federal trespassing sign. The beginning (approx. 8-10 miles) are really easy. Typical washboard of sand and shells. About 10 miles in, there’s an abandoned oil depot and the conditions got a bit rough for several miles with only a few places to really open it up. It made for a mild trail run. There’s about as much storm debris as there is asphalt/dirt in some places so make sure to pay attention to what you are driving over. At the end of the road there is a nice and open beach. It is a pretty easy fun trip and lots to explore. Don't forget to visit the Where2Wheel off road trails map to see all the off road trails near Houston, Texas.  We also have a great community of offroaders on W2W, so be sure to check out the news feed and groups sections of Where2Wheel as well.
