Hopkins Hey, better late than never. I'm still in VB with my Jeep. After Starr Motors Off Road course closed, the offroad scene in 757 has been pretty quiet. We've been working on trying to find land in VB or Suffolk for a W2W Offroad Park. Almost had a deal in Pungo for 45 acres in June, but that fell through. We are still working to try and bring an offroad playground to the area. 3 years ago

Hi! Just bought my new Jeep about a month ago. Joined the HRJC and looking for other opportunities to work my way in to the world off roading! Looking for some easy off pavement rides close to home for starters!

I just checked dates for upcoming Starr Motors Off-road Days and they are having a poker run and wheeling on Saturday Sept. 22nd and HRJC is also hosting their annual Toys for Tots charity trail ride at Starr Motors on Saturday Nov 17th. I will get the events in the calendar with more info later.

New to the area here, trying to find somewhere legal to off-road in the VB/Norfolk/Chesapeake area.

Hopkins Legal wheeling is hard to come by in the 757. You've got Carova Beach a couple hours south in the OBX, but it's nothing challenging other than some deep water crossings. Keep an eye on Starr Motors facebook page. They are a Jeep dealership in Suffolk and they have a small but fun off-road course behind the dealership. It's where a lot of the local Jeep clubs hold off-road days. I usually post on here whenever I am headed out that way. 7 years ago

Hopkins Most wheeling spots are at least a few hours away. Uwharrie, Shoe Creek, and Potts Mountain are the closest. Uwharrie and Potts are both about a 5 hour drive. I believe shoe creek is a little closer, but less challenging and is a fairly short trail. 7 years ago

xjmurr Man, I’m originally from Michigan and most places are 1-3 hours tops if you want some quality off road time. I’m going to keep an eye out for stuff stuff around. Thanks for the insight, will probably end up going out to some of these areas hopefully soon. 7 years ago

Anyone need a trussed LP Dana30 housing? It's setup to run Clayton 3 link long arms. I have the long arms too, just not the crossmember. Axle has balljoints, but no knuckles. Everything is in good condition, just needs some fresh paint. Parts looking for a good TJ or XJ to call home.
