Ma & Pa Rockers Campground consists of large rocks, hill climbs, sand, and mud. Usually a minimum of 10 vehicles are needed for the trail ride. Trail rides can take from 8.5-14 hours. These trails are really geared for modified vehicles. Ma & Pa rockers provides around 50 camp sites, 20 camp sites without electricity. Located just across the road is the Brule River state forest with beautiful scenery, as well as hiking trails. There are guidelines that must be followed for vehicles that will be off roading, so make sure you read up on them, and that your vehicle is equipped with what is needed. Furthermore, this is a place where communication with the owners is a must, so make sure to check out their FB page before heading out. The next offroad trail near Duluth, MN is Big Tooth Ridge located 42 miles S of Duluth for a drive time of one hour.  This trail is located inside the Nemadji State Forest, like alot of trails in this area. It is fairly short, only clocking about 4.5 miles long but is fairly entertaining especially after there has been some good rainfall! When it is wet/after snow has melted then you can expect sink-holes, wash-outs and deadfall along most of the trail. During dry times I would rate this trail beginner level, but when it is wet I would up it to a moderate to borderline expert depending on conditions. Hope this short and sweet trial give you more time out playing. While in this area also worth checking out the Park Truck Trail located in the Nemadji State Forest. Connections to OHV trails in the St. Croix and Nemadji State Forests, along with a wide variety of landscapes and terrain, make this trail a popular destination. The name is a bit misleading—it's really more like a big, half-open dirt bowl. Starting at the bottom, visitors attempt to make it to the very top of the long, bending ridge. It is basically a playground with a large sandy mesa "the wall" and some trails. Its a pretty large area extending north of 136 and south of airport road.
